April is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), a designation from the National Association of Home Builders focused on home modifications for safe, independent living.

She has also spent more than a decade as a social services director, walking alongside families as they figure out how to keep aging parents, disabled family members, and other loved ones safe and supported at home. That work shaped everything she does now.

She started Coastal Access Living after watching too many local families try to coordinate home safety on their own, from out of town, between work calls, or while also being the primary caregiver. The people she cares about most are the ones doing the hard, invisible work of keeping someone safe.

The pattern was always the same: a near-fall, a frantic search for a handyman, an overpriced quote, a contractor who did not show, and a family that just wanted one reliable local person to trust.

Coastal Access Living was built to be that person. We focus on the practical things that prevent falls and emergencies. Grab bars. Bathroom safety. Lighting. Ramps. Thresholds. Alarms. And the small maintenance that quietly slips.

Licensed trade work is performed by licensed, insured third-party contractors. Improvement projects are quoted and approved separately from your membership.
