What Coastal Access Living Does Not Represent
Coastal Access Living does not represent itself as a licensed general contractor, licensed home-inspection company, medical provider, engineering firm or code-enforcement authority.
Licensed and Regulated Work
Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, structural, permitting, construction and other regulated trade work is performed by appropriately licensed and insured independent contractors.
Contractor Responsibility
An independent contractor remains responsible for:
- Its own work and workmanship
- Estimates and contracts it provides
- Warranties
- Licensing and license limitations
- Insurance
- Permits
- Inspections
- Building-code compliance
- Supervision of their own employees and any lower-tier contractors
Coastal Access Living's Coordination Role
When requested, Coastal Access Living may help define the practical objective, identify possible contractors, communicate scheduling information, organize estimates and help the family understand next steps.
Coordination does not make Coastal Access Living responsible for an independent contractor's work unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise.
Client Approval
Projects, materials, additional repairs and work outside the membership require client approval before work begins.
