Family Advocacy & Care Navigation in Navarre, FL.
Family advocacy and care navigation for Navarre and Santa Rosa County families, including those coordinating a parent's care from out of state.
Coastal Access Living is based in Freeport, Florida and serves Walton, Okaloosa, and Santa Rosa Counties. April Gloy is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist who does this work in person. We are not a home care agency, a medical provider, or a law firm.
Local reality, not a generic checklist.
Navarre sits between two medical markets. Families here often drive west toward Pensacola or east toward Fort Walton Beach depending on which specialist, hospital, or rehabilitation bed is available. That split is the defining local challenge: records live in two systems, providers do not talk to each other, and the family becomes the only common thread.
The area has grown quickly with retirees and military families, and a lot of Navarre households are the first generation of their family to live here. There is no cousin down the street to check in. When a parent's needs change, the nearest relative is frequently a plane ride away.
Homes range from newer construction in the neighborhoods north of Highway 98 to older beach-adjacent properties with stairs, thresholds, and salt-air wear. Aging in place is realistic in most of them with planning, and unpleasant without it.

One local advocate holding the whole picture.
When care is split between Pensacola-area and Okaloosa-area providers, we keep the history, the medication list, and the plan in one place so nothing gets lost between systems.
You get a local advocate in Navarre and organized updates on what is actually happening, with your parent's authorization, instead of piecing it together from short phone calls.
We help your family weigh the options, prepare for discharge planning conversations, and coordinate the nonclinical logistics of each move.
Home health, private-duty care, equipment, and vendors get coordinated and followed up on across county lines, which is where things usually fall through here.
Scheduling, prepared questions, presence when the family wants it, and follow-through afterward. We do not provide transportation or clinical care.
We plan and prioritize the home changes that make staying put realistic. Physical project work in Santa Rosa County is considered by request, so contact us to confirm service availability.
Navarre families commonly move between Pensacola-area and Okaloosa County hospitals, rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities in either direction, and home. We track those handoffs so records, medications, and follow-up appointments do not get dropped at the county line.
We do not provide medical care, nursing, personal care, transportation, legal advice, or financial advice. Advocacy and coordination are nonclinical services.
Frequently asked
Is Navarre inside your advocacy service area?
Yes. Family Advocacy & Care Navigation covers Walton, Okaloosa, and Santa Rosa Counties, which includes Navarre, Navarre Beach, Gulf Breeze, Milton, and Pace.
Can you also do the home safety and accessibility work here?
Sometimes. Our default area for physical home services is Walton County plus eastern and central Okaloosa County. We do take projects in Santa Rosa County depending on location, scope, scheduling, and contractor availability, so contact us to confirm service availability.
My parent's doctors are in Pensacola but the hospital was in Fort Walton Beach. Is that a problem?
It is common here and it is exactly the coordination gap we fill. We keep one organized picture across both markets so your family is not the only thing connecting them.
Do you make decisions for my parent?
No. April informs, organizes, and coordinates. Medical, legal, and financial decisions stay with your family and the appropriate licensed professionals.
