An in-person walkthrough of the home focused on fall risks, bathroom safety, lighting, entry access, stairs, thresholds, smoke and CO alarms, and practical accessibility. You receive a written report of priorities, what can wait, and your next-step options. We also schedule a no-pressure review call with April to answer questions. It is a $699 value at no cost for founding member homes.

Who qualifies for the founding member offer?

The first 100 accepted homes in the Coastal Access Living service area qualify for the free assessment and the founding member rate on Coastal Complete. When we reach 100 homes, founding pricing closes.

What happens after the assessment?

We review the priorities with you, explain what matters most, and help you choose the right plan or next step. There is no long-term contract and no obligation to continue.

Do you do construction?

Coastal Access Living handles home safety, accessibility, maintenance, and coordination services. Licensed trade work is performed by licensed, insured third-party contractors. Improvement projects are quoted and approved separately from your membership.

Do you install grab bars?

Yes. Grab bars are part of the safety and accessibility work we perform and coordinate. Site conditions and wall structure matter, so recommendations are made after we look at the actual location.

Do you work with out-of-town family?

Yes. This is one of the most common situations we help with. We become your trusted local eyes inside the home, send photo updates after every visit, and communicate directly with you, the parent, or both.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. Membership starts with a free inspection and a 3-month membership, then continues month to month.

What does month to month mean?

After the initial 3-month membership, you can end at any time, for any reason. We earn the renewal by doing the work well, not by locking you in.

Are materials included?

Some small items are simple and included. Materials, specialty labor, trade work, or larger subcontracted work may be billed separately and approved before work begins.

No. Coastal Access Living is not a medical provider and does not give medical advice. We focus on home safety, accessibility, maintenance, and coordination.

Can you help after a fall or hospital discharge?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can evaluate the home for obvious safety and accessibility concerns after a fall or transition home. We do not replace medical, therapy, or discharge planning advice.

Do you work with people who are not seniors?

Yes. We help people living with disabilities, families with temporary mobility challenges, and busy homeowners who want practical safety improvements.

What if my parent does not think they need help?

That is common. The assessment can be framed as a simple home safety walkthrough, not a loss of independence. The goal is to help them stay safer and more confident at home.
