What is included in the free assessment?

A 60-to-90-minute Home Safety & Access Assessment looks at everyday fall risks, access concerns, lighting, bathrooms, entries, alarms, thresholds and related maintenance issues. The family receives a short written list explaining what matters most, what can wait and why.

Who qualifies for the Founding Offer?

While enrollment remains open, Walton County homeowners may request the complimentary assessment. The first 100 homes that sign a membership agreement qualify for the applicable Founding 100 benefits. The special $199 monthly founding rate applies to Coastal Complete.

Question 3

Do I have to join to receive the assessment?

Accepted Answer

No. The assessment is complimentary while Founding 100 enrollment remains open. You may review the priorities before deciding whether a membership is right for the home.

What happens after the assessment?

Accepted Answer

We review the priorities with you, explain what matters most, and help you choose the right plan or next step. There is no obligation to continue.

Question 5

Do you do construction?

Accepted Answer

Coastal Access Living provides assessments, planning, routine maintenance support and coordination. Licensed or regulated construction and trade work is completed by appropriately licensed and insured independent contractors.

Do you install grab bars?

Accepted Answer

Coastal Access Living can assess placement, explain the safety need and help arrange installation. Installation is completed by an appropriately qualified contractor when licensing, construction scope or site conditions require it.

Do you work with out-of-town family?

Yes. This is one of the most common situations we help with. We become your trusted local eyes inside the home, provide a clear update after each scheduled visit with photos when useful and authorized, and communicate directly with you, the parent, or both. We establish communication preferences with the client and any authorized family contacts.

Is there a long-term contract?

There is no annual contract. Membership begins with an initial three-month term and continues month to month afterward.

What does month to month mean?

After the initial three-month term, you can end at any time, for any reason. We earn the renewal by doing the work well, not by locking you in.

Are materials included?

Only materials specifically listed in a membership agreement or approved work order are included. Other materials are supplied by the client or purchased and billed with approval.

Is this an ADA inspection?

Accepted Answer

No. Recommendations may be ADA-informed when relevant, but a private residence is not represented as ADA-certified or ADA-compliant. The assessment is not a legal-compliance inspection.

Family Advocacy & Care Navigation covers Walton, Okaloosa, and Santa Rosa Counties. Home safety, accessibility, and aging-in-place project work covers all of Walton County plus eastern and central Okaloosa County, including Freeport, Santa Rosa Beach, 30A, Miramar Beach, DeFuniak Springs, Destin, Niceville, Fort Walton Beach, Shalimar, Valparaiso, and Mary Esther. Anywhere else in Northwest Florida, contact us to confirm service availability.

Are you a medical provider?

No. Coastal Access Living is not a medical provider and does not give medical advice. We focus on home safety, accessibility, maintenance, and coordination.

Can you help after a fall or hospital discharge?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can evaluate the home for obvious safety and accessibility concerns after a fall or transition home. We do not replace medical, therapy, or discharge planning advice.

Do you work with people who are not seniors?

Yes. We help people living with disabilities, families with temporary mobility challenges, and busy homeowners who want practical safety improvements.

What if my parent does not think they need help?

That is common. The assessment can be framed as a simple home safety walkthrough, not a loss of independence. The goal is to help them stay safer and more confident at home.

Is Family Advocacy & Care Navigation the same as my membership?

Accepted Answer

No. Memberships cover the home. Family Advocacy & Care Navigation is a separate advocacy and coordination engagement with its own agreement and pricing.

Does Family Advocacy & Care Navigation provide caregivers or rides?

Accepted Answer

No. We help families find and coordinate those services, and we meet your loved one at appointments when the family wants us present. We do not provide transportation.

Is Family Advocacy & Care Navigation covered by insurance or Medicare?

No. It is a private pay service.

Can April make medical or legal decisions for my parent?

No. She informs, organizes, and coordinates. Decisions stay with your family and the appropriate professionals.
